Funds from this collection provide food to the hungry, support displaced refuges, and bring Christ's love and mercy to vulnerable people here and abroad. Holy Redeemer Parish delivers food to S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat), a D.C. organization that fights hunger, poverty and homelessness, on the second Thursday of each month. Donations of fruit and casseroles are needed, as well as a driver to take the food to S.O.M.E. in D.C. MARYLAND MARCH FOR LIFE - Monday, March 16
The Maryland March for Life is Monday, March 16 in Annapolis. Everyone is encouraged to attend-adults and children. The theme this year is "Beyond Abortion: Because Women Deserve Better." We would like to arrange car pools to leave from Holy Redeemer around 4:15 pm in time to get there for the Mass - a Sign Up Sheet is in the vestibule of the church. Please sign up and designate if you can drive or if you would like a ride. For more information go to mdmarchforlife.com or email Paul Hurley, hurley.family1@verizon.net.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE - SPRING CAMPAIGN - a great Lenten opportunity!
The 40 Days for Life Spring Campaign runs Ash Wednesday, February 18 to Palm Sunday, March 29. As you probably know, the abortion facility on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda has closed. We supported a prayer vigil there for many years. The clinic moved to 5454 Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD, 13th floor. It is called CARE Reproductive Health, LLC and is still performing late term abortions. All are invited to come and pray at the clinic on Saturdays at 10 am. Holy Redeemer has signed up to pray on Saturday, March 28 from 10am to 4pm. You can sign up at 40daysforlife.com, go to "Locations" and select "Chevy Chase Village" or email Paul Hurley, hurley.family1@verizon.net. If you are unable to get to the clinic, there is a small group of HR women who pray the rosary in the Adoration Chapel at 11 am on Mondays - all are welcome to join them.

The Rock Creek Council of the Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a youth chess tournament on Sunday afternoon, 22 March 2026, for players in grades K through 8. Registration is from 11:30 am to 12 pm, games are played from 12:15 to 2:45 followed by an awards ceremony. The event will be held at 5417 West Cedar Lane in Bethesda. The cost is $15 which will be donated to a local charity. Players must register in advance. Food and refreshments will be available. Post Cana Lenten Reflection
The Washington Archdiocese Post Cana for Widows and Widowers is having a half day of Lenten Reflection at Our Lady of Grace in Leisure World on Tuesday, March 10th. Our new Post Cana moderator, Father Tom LaHood, Holy Redeemer pastor, will be our celebrant and will also join us for lunch. The Mass will begin at 11:00 followed by lunch in the parish center.

March 18, Evening of Lenten Reflection for the Ministry to the Separated or Divorced (Virtual)
Continuing our reflection on the Beatitudes, begun during Advent, we will consider how God calls us to live the Beatitudes in ways that bring us into loving communion with God and those around us. Join with other separated and divorced Catholics to consider Christ's great and merciful love for you as we converse, reflect, and pray the Stations of the Cross together.
